RemoteDesk
Remote control for Android phones. For the owner's friends and family only.
No version is available yet.
How to install
- Open this page on the phone and tap Download.
- Open the downloaded file. If Android asks, allow your browser to install unknown apps (Settings → Apps → your browser → Install unknown apps).
- If Play Protect warns about an unknown app, tap More details → Install anyway. The app is not on the Play Store, so this warning is expected.
- Open RemoteDesk. It shows this phone's 9-digit ID. Send the ID to the owner and wait until the phone is approved.
To let this phone be controlled
- Settings → Accessibility → RemoteDesk → turn it on.
- Android 13 and newer: if the switch is greyed out with “Restricted setting”, go to Settings → Apps → RemoteDesk, tap the ⋮ menu (top right) → Allow restricted settings, confirm, then turn on the Accessibility switch again.
- When someone connects, you will see a request. Nothing is shared until you accept, and a “being controlled” indicator with a Stop button stays visible during the whole session.
